Important Information on Arrival Times and Payments: Keep in mind that our arrival times fall between the hours of 2:30 - 4:00pm and check out is at 11am, so plan your travel accordingly. For instance, if you will be flying into Albuquerque allow about 4 hours between landing and arriving at our Visitors Center. (Our community is only a 15 minute drive from Taos). This will give you ample time to deal with luggage issues, renting a car, traffic and/or any delays between Albuquerque and Taos. It's a wee bit of a trek but WELL worth it. You'll have a blast!
Payment in full is expected to reserve your dates. If you need to cancel for some reason, our policy is that if you notify us at least 24 hrs. in advance you may have a standing credit for rescheduling anytime in the future as there are no refunds. You may also transfer your credit to a friend or use the credit to purchase materials from our Earthship Store. (Regarding pets, we require a $25/day fee for pets.)
Earthship nightly rentals are ideal for your luxury vacation rentals, pet friendly rentals and to learn more about what it is like to live in a carbon zero, sustainable, green building. Eartship nightly rentals provide full furnished homes for rent. For a similar nightly rate as a hotel or bed and breakfast in Taos, NM - you could stay in a fully furnished Earthship.

Just watched your movie, Garbage Warrior, and was blown away by the beauty and innovative architecture. You make works of art that you live in! I can't wait to take a trip out to Taos and stay in one, maybe even one day to live in one.

What's the update on improvements in construction quality since the lawsuits in the 90's? Has the quality risen and are their still complaints?

If the costs of energy are extraordinarily low, why is it so expensive to stay one night? Do the proceeds support something else? Thanks!

I am thrilled for Mike and his crew for the attention they are getting. It shows that good work, good folks and a good cause can make some positive change. RIGHT ON! I'm sorry I never had the opportunity to stay in an earthship while living in NM, but I will. I wonder what the old yankee's here in new england would think if I built an earthship here. Any one have any ideas on the first steps let me know. I live in an old chicken coop, fuel whore of a house that needs to conform to a greener way.
